Pfc Dozier S LOVETT Jr - B/513th PIR - KIA 24/03/1945
Son of Dozier Smith Sr and Mamie B Lovett, Dozier Lovett Jr was born on March 13, 1926 in Florida.
He was enlisted at Fort McPherson (Atlanta, Georgia) on May 25, 1944 and assigned to Company B-214 of the Infantry Replacement Training Center located at Camp Blanding, Florida on June 19, 1944 than to the Airborne School before being send overseas on November 25. He was finally assigned to Company B of the 513th PIR.
Private First Class Dozier Jr was part of operation Varsity and lost his life on March 24, 1945. He was only 19 years-old.
He now rests in peace in the Netherlands American cemetery of Margraten.
